Our Commitment to Safety

We maintain rigorous safety guidelines for our employees’ and clients’ protection.

We are committed to providing both our clients and employees with a safe and secure work environment. Safety & Human Performance training saves lives and helps reduce the severity of injury associated with accidents. As such, CE Power Solutions is committed to providing our employees with the resources and training necessary to reduce or eliminate injuries and health hazards.

CE Power Solutions maintains a stringent safety program consisting of monthly safety training meetings and oversight provided by our Safety & Human Performance Manager.

Effective Leadership and Commitment

We believe the way to achieve safety excellence is through operational ownership. Operational ownership means that CE Power Solutions holds its managers accountable for the integrity of the operations they supervise. Our safety experts support and guide the safety and compliance programs, but the company expects its operations managers to take the lead. We ensure operational commitment through the following components:

  • Constant reviews of managers’ safety and reliability performance
  • Comprehensive safety inspections and audits
  • Training for new managers
  • Surveys where employees anonymously evaluate leadership commitment

Continuous Improvement of Management System

As a company founded on quality, it is our duty to apply safety analytics, hazard/risk reduction techniques and governance systems to every aspect of our operations.

Training and Competency of Our Employee Workforce

All CE Power Solutions employees are required to complete the company’s risk-based safety training. We train new and existing employees on the company’s expectations, procedures and tactics for delivering the highest safety results.

Providing Mechanisms for Employees to Provide Feedback

Operational ownership requires trust and partnership between leadership and employees. That is why we conduct periodic, anonymous safety perception surveys. These surveys ask employees questions designed to measure their engagement, their views of the safety at their workplace and their impressions of our commitment to safety. We hold operation leaders accountable for results

Continuous Improvement of Processes to Mitigate Risk

We understand that safety improvements never really end as we pursue safety excellence. We are committed to the continuous evaluation of opportunities for improvement — ensuring that safety aligns with business goals, delivers results and drives innovation/engagement.

Verification of Performance through Robust Inspections

Our approach to auditing focuses on rewarding (rather than punishing) operations for discovering and correcting compliance and process gaps.

Customer Partnership

Our customers often conduct high-risk operations in challenging environments. We are committed to helping our business partners deliver on their own safety expectations by aligning our programs with theirs. We find that this is the best way to achieve no harm.

Dedicated Safety Professionals

We are committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace for our employees and customers as well as observe all job site, state and federal laws and regulations. Our safety team comes from several different industries and has over 25 years of experience in the areas of transmission and distribution, oil and gas, power generation, warehousing, subgrade construction and material handling.

We have established a safety program designed to continually improve through routine self-evaluations, training, management support and employee participation. As such, our employees understand the importance of a positive/proactive safety culture.

No employee is required to work at a job that he or she feels is unsafe and has the authority to “Stop Work.” Therefore, it is our priority to make every workplace safe by detecting and correcting unsafe working conditions, as well as the discovery and resolution of unsafe work practices.
